Boscolo properties are synonymous with luxury, elegance and courtesy and the brand considers itself a representation of Italian lifestyle around the world. After my stay at Boscolo Exedra in Nice, France, I couldn’t agree more.
I checked into the Boscolo Exedra in Nice for a two-night stay and upon entering the lobby I was blown away by the elegance of the property – both inside and out. Set in a gorgeous building about a 10-minute walk from the Promenade des Anglais, Boscolo is set right in the heart of the city of Nice. The entirety of the property caters to an exclusive clientele that expects the best – and receives it.
The lobby area is huge and adorned in gorgeous white marble with pops of pink in the many seating options, gorgeous florals are placed throughout the whole area. To the left of the lobby area is a room with additional seating as well as a beautiful red lined pool table, a self-serve coffee and tea station that is available 24/7 and a computer and printer for guest access.

There are 112 rooms and suites and I had the pleasure of staying in an Exclusive Room. The room was huge by any standards, especially European standards, and was elegantly decorated with white furniture, crystal light fixtures and pops of gold. The room would be best for a couple as the bathroom and shower area was opened to the room and created a very sexy ambiance.

The extra seating area by the French windows was a special treat with beautiful views to admire while working.

The amenities in the room were lavish and extravagant, in line with the rest of the property. There was a fully stocked mini-bar, a Nespresso machine, snack station, and plush robes and slippers. My favorite amenity was, hands down, the bathroom products. As someone who is almost always on the road – quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotions are often a luxury and not always something that is offered by the hotels I stay at. Boscolo not only had all of the bathroom products that I look for but I even had scent options! With four different scent options (myrrh, orange blossom, green tea leaves and blue Tahitian chamomile) I was in bath-product heaven. All four of the scents were appealing but the green tea was my favorite.
The snack station – equipped with everything you could want, and then some.
Who doesn’t like options? These amenities were a special treat for a long term traveler such as myself.
The macarons that greeted me in my room matched the hues of the sunset that night, bonus!
Boscolo is set back from the busy (and rather noisy) area along the beach but if heading to the beach is what you’re in Nice for – Boscolo can arrange (for a fee) padded lounges right on the beach at Ruhl Plage, about a 10 minute walk south from the property. The beaches in Nice aren’t sandy and have big, chunky rocks – so a lounge is going to be something you need for comfort. Ruhl Plage also boasts a beverage, snacks, and meal service that will come right to your lounge. I spent the entire day at the beach (and was rather upset I didn’t lather up with sunscreen as I totally underestimated the strength of the Southern-French sun).

If the beach isn’t your scene – fret not. Boscolo also boasts a super modern, beautiful indoor pool as well as a sauna and Turkish bath. The pool area is located in the spa on the lower level of the property and has all the amenities you’d expect at a luxury spa. There was fruit infused waters available as well as detox teas – perfect for a refreshing sip after a sauna. There was also showers to rinse off after a swim or sauna and extra robes were available, as well.

Dining at Boscolo was one of my favorite experiences. I dined at La Pescheria – a chic Italian cuisine restaurant right inside Boscolo. As a woman with Italian heritage, I love all Italian cuisines so this was a true treat after three weeks of mostly French cuisine. My guest and I split the octopus appetizer, served in a rich red sauce with olives, and what was great was that the chef went out of their way to split the appetizer for us into two separate plates. For dinner I enjoyed a spaghetti with a light sauce and clams, paired perfectly with a delicious Italian white wine.

Breakfast at Boscolo was also a great treat. The breakfast area on the ground floor boasted a buffet or an a-la-carte menu and room service was served a-la-carte, as well. I, personally, love to enjoy breakfast in bed – especially while in hotels. It didn’t hurt that the breakfast was served beautifully on a roll in cart that was placed right by the window – perfect for a photo-op!
Beautiful fruit platter, large selection of jams and jellies, traditional French bread and pastries, fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, hot tea and coffee, don’t mind if I do.
All in all, my stay at Boscolo Exedra Nice was lovely. I’d highly suggest Boscolo Exedra for anyone looking to have a luxurious, relaxing stay in Nice.
