Last week I had the pleasure of previewing Celebrity Cruises latest ship, Edge. It has been said that the Edge was the “most anticipated ship of the year” and within just a few moments of checking in and boarding Edge, I completely understood why. Sleek, modern, advanced, sexy – there are heaps of adjectives that come to mind when thinking of Edge.
But, unfortunately, my two-day preview wasn’t even enough time to see everything Edge had to offer! However, in my 40-ish hours on board I had a field day photographing the ship and since they say a photo is worth a thousand words – the best way I can tell you about Edge, is to show you! Here are 30 photos to give you a taste of Edge:
Sunsets at sea are just that more beautiful on Edge.
One of the private lounge/dining spaces for those booked in The Retreat Suites.
The views + hues from the top deck boast heaps of beautiful blues.
Giving the cabanas by the main pool some intimacy and privacy – I loved the design of this area of the ship!
One of the most defining features of Edge is “The Magic Carpet” a bar/lounge/restaurant that is extended off of the ship and glides up and down the side of the ship!
The Rooftop Garden on top of the top deck is the perfect place for a photo-op.
Whether night (left) or day (right) the views and hues from the Rooftop Garden make it the perfect outdoor space to relax on board.
The solarium houses an indoor pool, hot tub and juice bar with light snacks.
The solarium is the perfect space to catch a #PinkHour.
During the day the Solarium is a great space to stop for a light lunch or a fresh juice.
Watching the sky turn 50 shades of pink was particularly special aboard Edge.
I loved Le Grand Bistro (top left)! I had a delicious breakfast there (top right) and at night they transform it into “Le Petit Chef” where the entire table (dishes included) are lit up with a projection on the ceiling and become part of an animated skit. The truffled cheese ravioli (bottom left) and matcha chocolate cake (bottom right) were part of not only a delicious but also entertaining dinner!
Some of the snacks available by the Martini Bar – just outside of the Grand Plaza.
I loved the chic décor at the martini bar (left) perfect for a photo-op with my Gatta Bag camera bag (right).
While I didn’t get to dine in all of the restaurants – the décor at Tuscan Restaurant (left) and Normandie Restaurant (right) were super inviting while maintaining a trendy ambiance.
The main bar at the Grand Plaza located centrally in the middle of the ship.
The seating areas and décor around the Grand Plaza were also too pretty not to photograph.
A sneak peek at the Iconic Suite which even boasts a huge private patio (left) and living room views that look straight off the front of the ship (right).
The lounge spaces on the rooftop Retreat were a contemporary dream.
I loved the use of palms all over the ship!
