Checking in: A Winter Stay at Gurney’s Resorts: Montauk, New York

I was invited to Gurney’s in Montauk at the beginning of the month (December, ’19) for a quick two night “stay-cation” on Long Island and to check out their annual igloos! My friend Sarah and I checked in and had two really chill days checking out all of the different themed igloo’s and different amenities and offerings that Gurney’s Resort in Montauk, New York has to offer in the winter.

The Property

Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa is famously known for its pristine 2,000 feet of private beachfront in Montauk and Gurneys’ 146 rooms, suites, and beachfront cottages – all boast breathtaking ocean views. Gurney’s is not only the only oceanfront full-service resort in Montauk, but it’s also the only resort open year-round. With winter offerings such as an indoor pool and fun-theme’d igloo’s  – who wouldn’t want to experience the  lavish amenities of Gurney’s, with a more laid back, cozy vibe?

Gurney’s also boasts five unique dining and drinking options – serving up a multitude of food and drink elegant dining options to casual bites and craft cocktails. If you’re  looking for an even more relaxing vacation – Gurney’s acclaimed spa is known for its healing treatments and ocean-fed seawater pool – which is the only of it’s kind in North America!

The Igloos

Gurney’s introduced  the various themed igloos at both their property in Montauk as well as Gurney’s in Newport, Rhode Island. The igloos are all super cute and come with wait staff as there’s both a small snacks and cocktail menus. The igloos book up fast so be  sure to call in to make a reservation ahead of time!

We stayed in a Deluxe  Two-Queen Oceanfront Room  and loved it.  The mid-century modern touches with hints of nautical inspired accents and large ceilings were second only to the gorgeous and impressive ocean views off of the private terrace. There were also heaps of amenities in the room such as:
-super cozy robes and slippers
-a mini-bar with snacks for purchase
-daily water bottles
-in-room Nespresso (one of my favorite amenities!
-complimentary Wi-Fi
-walk-in rain shower
-premium bathroom amenities.

All  in all we had a  great stay at Gurney’s in Montauk for the winter! The resort was super quiet, adding to a relaxing stay,  and at times we felt  like we  had the whole place to ourselves! We can’t thank Gurney’s enough for inviting us to check out their igloo’s and resort.
