According to the EIBN (The EU-Indonesia Business Network) Indonesia is the world’s sixth largest exporter of – yes, you guessed it – tea! So, having high tea in Bali isn’t that unfathomable when you really think about it. What I loved most about high tea in Bali was that at every resort I enjoyed the late afternoon refreshment at – provided high tea and the small bites along with it, complimentary.
Here’s the scoop on where to have high-tea in Bali and it doesn’t hurt that the views and hues along with the early evening snack are typically to die for.
The Samaya Bali, Seminyak
The Samaya is an all-villa Resort right on the beach in Seminyak. What’s wonderful about the high tea at the Samaya is that you can have it whenever you want, wherever you want.
The private pool in my one-bedroom villa where I had the option to enjoy tea, if I wanted to!
Instead I opted for high tea by the main pool.
I was also given the option of fresh juice with high-tea!
Hotel Tugu, Canggu
Hotel Tugu is all about experiences and what I loved about their high-tea was that it was served with traditional Balinese sweet treats.

The treats at Hotel Tugu were served a-la-carte and on a self-serve basis.
My favorite part of the high-tea at Hotel Tugu was that the tea was served in a traditional Balinese teapot which sits above a clay base that houses a candle to keep the tea warm!
Villa Sabandari, Ubud
A boutique hotel located right on the rice fields in Ubud, Villa Sabandari is the perfect place to find some peace and serenity. The chocolate cake covered in coconut flakes that is served with the high tea at Villa Sabandari can help you reach a state of peace and serenity, it itself.
You can opt to have high tea next to the infinity pool which drops right into the rice fields.
The snacks and tea at Villa Sabandari were the perfect snack to hold me over before dinner.
Kayumanis in Ubud is one of four Kayumanis locations in Bali and I had the pleasure of experiencing high-tea at this gorgeous property after an amazing spa session. The weather wasn’t perfect when I visited Kayumanis but between the ultimate state of relaxation I achieved and the delicious snacks that came after – I didn’t even mind!

The snacks at high-tea at Kayumanis were some of the best I had in Bali! I even got to have a delicious juice – custom made by the chef!
No matter where you’re headed in Bali there’s sure to be a high-tea close to you. With the island being home to so many wellness and health retreats – it’s the perfect afternoon experience to have for the utmost rest and relaxation.
