I recently had the pleasure of staying at the newly-renovated Loews Miami Beach property, aptly named as it’s perfectly situated right on Miami Beach. Unfortunately for me, my time in Miami was short lived as I was only there for one night in between two other trips – but everything about the Loews property has me itching to come back for more!
The Loews Miami Beach recently went under a huge $50 million makeover and along with the makeover of the rooms and décor, they also gave the experiences and amenities a transformation! The Loews Miami Beach is more than a hotel but an art experience in itself, from when you first check in at the lobby to when you arrive in the guestrooms.
The artwork around the property illuminates the finesse and style of South Beach while tying in the elements of sun, sand, and sea. The featured artists and curators Sarah Raskey, Derek Gores, and Indiewalls did a fascinating job at creating and curating the property renovation.
The gorgeous artwork in the lobby where guests check in went on to influence the décor in the newly renovated rooms.
With St. Tropez inspired and adult only SOAK daybeds and cabanas your trip to Loews might feel as if you’re on the French Riviera.
The SOAK experience comes with personalized butler service, Voss Water, Evian Mist, Cable TV, iPad with Netflix and online magazines, A/C and climate control, daily hourly amenities, such as; smoothies, fruit cart, hourly poolside pampering, your own bathroom – and so much more.
Right in the heart of South Beaches vibrant Art Deco area, the Loews Miami Beach is the perfect place to base yourself when in Miami. A short 15-20 minute ride (depending on traffic) from Miami International Airport or 30-40 minutes from Fort Lauderdale International Airport the Loews is super easy to arrive to!
The 16th street position of the property is a quick 5-minute walk from your hotel room to the beautiful Miami beach, a 5-10 minute walk to the bustling Lincoln Road Mall, a 20 minute walk to beautiful South Pointe Park and the Miami Beach Marina. Loews is centrally located and perfect for someone looking to relax and unwind by the pool or beach as well as someone more interested in getting out and exploring what South Beach and Miami Beach has to offer, which is all conveniently explorable by foot!
You can see the beautiful hues of the ocean peeking through the side of the iconic Loews property.
With over 750 rooms and suites– Loews offers an array of options for your overnight accommodations. I had the pleasure of enjoying a Grand Ocean Front King room and although I was by myself, this room would’ve been extremely comfortable for two.
The beautiful blue hues of the ocean peeking over the balcony in the newly renovated Grand Ocean Front King room.
The view of the pool from my 15th floor room. The sun began to set around the time I checked in and you can see the drastic shadows the buildings along the beach cast over the pool and beach.
What I loved about the room (aside from the décor, ocean and pool views, of course) were the vast amount of amenities. I travel, often, my stay at Loews was an 18-hour break in between two other trips. So, the fact that the shampoo and conditioner were something I decided to take with me speaks volumes of the quality of the Julien Farel bathroom amenities.
I’ve also stayed in many hotels in the last two years and not a single mini bar has been discussion worthy, until I stayed at Loews. The fridge was stocked with organic Honest Tea, Zico Coconut water, organic Horizon milk and most impressively Martinelli’s (the best apple juice ever) as opposed to the typical Coca-cola, Sprite and water options.
I also would be doing my readers a disservice if I didn’t discuss the in-room robes. Typically, hotel robes can be a bit stiff, itchy and sometimes downright uncomfortable but The Ultimate Doeskin robe by Chadsworth & Haig in the room was the most comfortable robe I’ve ever tried on! I even ordered one for home, it was that comfy.
Lounging in the most comfortable robe, ever.
Earlier I mentioned that my stay at Loews was in between two trips, so I was rather exhausted by the time I arrived at the property. I did have every intention to shower, take a stroll and find a restaurant in South Beach to dine at for dinner but after putting the robe on, my plans changed and I opted to dine-in with room service, instead. (Sidenote: I cant suggest the pizza enough – so delicious!)
My warm welcome to Loews came with a plate of Miami-must haves, including a Juicera immune boosting wellness shot (perfect for someone who is traveling a lot!). Juicera is loved by locals and tourists alike and I was super happy to find their juices on the Loews menus!
Loews Miami Beach has five on-site dining and snack options which all pay homage to Miami’s buzzing culinary scene, with FLAVOR MIAMI. Earlier I mentioned that my welcome amenity came equipped with a Juiceria wellness shot, which is just one of 17 local partners that Loews has on their Flavor Miami experience!
The beautiful views and hues at Preston’s Market Terrace overlooking the beach and pool.
Bar Collins is centrally located, just off of the main lobby. A great place to enjoy the property with a cocktail or to have a quick bite (I can’t suggest the pizza enough!). If you arrive early (this was taken around 7am) you may even have the whole place to yourself!
Unfortunately, in my short stay I didn’t have the time to arrange to enjoy a meal at any of the restaurants but I did have the pleasure of acquiring a small bite to eat and a delicious espresso from Miami Joe Coffee Co. The staff was not only super friendly and helpful but they were having a blast working together – what a fun crew!
The morning crew at Miami Joe Coffee Co paused to take a photo for me!
The Beach & The Pool:
I mean, this is, after all: MIAMI. While the SOAK cabana and daybed options I mentioned earlier are a great way to luxe-up your stay at Loews, simply the views and hues of the pool and beach are swoon-worthy.
If you’re an early riser, like I am, you can prepare to watch the sun explode beautiful colors over the beach and ocean. The sunrises in Miami are not to be believed! This view was captured from my balcony.
The pool around sunrise also makes for a great photo op! Many people sleep in on their vacations so you’ll find the pool area nearly empty and won’t feel embarrassed to set your tri-pod up and have a mini photoshoot session.
I also couldn’t help myself but to photograph the beautiful views and hues of the pool at night. During the day the pool area is lively and fun while at night it provides a soothing atmosphere that is even pretty from 15 floors up!
Whether in town for a quick overnight, as I was, or planning to stay in Miami for a few days (or more) I can’t suggest basing yourself at the Loews Miami Beach enough! From the views and decor to the amenities and the happy, enthusiastic staff: Loews Miami Beach is an awesome option for your next stay in Miami Beach!
