A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of checking in to the Marriott Stanton in South Beach, Miami. A quick getaway from the blustery cold of New York was just what the doctor ordered and staying at the Marriot Stanton South Beach surely cured the winter blues.
Located in the swanky ‘South of Fifth’ neighborhood of South Beach – checking in to the Marriott Stanton South Beach surely won’t disappoint. With the laid-back vibes at the Marriott Stanton South Beach – you’d never know that this relaxing, trendy property is within walking distance to the bustling buzz of Ocean Drive north of Fifth.
I highly recommend taking advantage of one of the Marriott Stanton’s bike rentals (the cutest cruisers on the beach!) and checking out the area. With Miami Beach Marina, South Pointe Park and much more to see in the area you won’t be disappointed. If you find you’ve worked up an appetite you can dine at one of the many exclusive Miami restaurants within walking distance of the Marriott Stanton South Beach – such as Joe’s Stone Crab, Smith & Wollensky, or Prime 112.
After recently undergoing a 22 million dollar, six-month renovation – the Stanton Marriott South Beach shines. The property pays homage to traditional “modern Miami minimalism” with clean whites with pops of tans/oranges. One of my favorite attributes of the Stanton Marriott South Beach was that there was beautiful, lush flora all around the property. From the moment you pull into the driveway entering the property you’re surrounded by tropical plants and flowers.
The outdoor areas of the property are totally South Beach-chic. With pops of color, lush tropical flora, and intimate, yet cozy, seating areas. The pool area has daybeds and lounges surrounding two pools with a jacuzzi in the middle. Just as a heads-up: the pool area is so beautiful that everyone wants to enjoy it! If you’re planning to spend the day at the pool try to get there to reserve your day bed or lounges early as the spots fill up rather quickly.
With photogenic spaces all around the property – the Marriott Stanton South Beach is an Instagrammers dream!
There’s towel services both at the pool and beach. You can also enjoy beverage and bites services that deliver to your relaxing spot by the beach or pool. You can even order pool or beach side food delivery right from your phone with the Eazyo app. Please note that beach lounges and umbrellas come at a small fee. The staff was extremely accommodating and charged the lounges right to my room. As an added bonus they have sunscreen and tanning oils available at no charge right at the stand on the beach!
I highly suggest waking up for sunrise over the beach and pool area – you won’t be disappinted!
The design of the entire property is sophisticated but not stuffy – retro but modern and the best part is they’re not done yet! With a fitness center, spa, on-property Beach Club and Japanese restaurant “Azabu Miami Beach” set to open in the coming months.
The design of the rooms pick up the beachy feels from the rest of the property while still staying true to Miami design. The guestrooms boast grey walls with white bedding and furniture. The bathroom has gorgeous white marble showers and white marble tiled walls. The shower has a waterfall showerhead which is perfect to give you all the tropical feels.
I loooooved the design of the bathrooms.
The bedrooms (and the beds!) were chic but cozy.
And just when you think it can’t get any better – you walk out onto your balcony to pops of blues from the ocean, pops of green from the lush park adjacent to the property and pink hues in the sky!
As I had mentioned before – Marriott Stanton South Beach is prepping for the opening of their Japanese restaurant – Azabu Miami Beach. In the interim, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner and even pool or beachside snacks from their on-site Mexican restaurant – Lolo’s Surf Cantina. I had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast and dinner at Lolo’s and ordered ceviche to my pool-side lounge and they did not disappoint.
With heaps of options for breakfast from traditional Continental with eggs, fruits and yogurts to Mexican dishes such as Huevos Rancheros and poached eggs served with spicy chorizo – there’s something to cater to everyone’s palette! Side-note: I highly suggest trying out the horchata – it tasted exactly like the last one I had in Mexico! I also loved the shrimp tacos! The rib-eye tacos are also worth writing home about but something about the shrimp tacos just spoke to my soul in every way that a shrimp taco should.

In conclusion, the Stanton Marriott South Beach is the perfect place to base yourself when visiting Miami or South Beach. From the relaxing, Miami vibes to the pristine location on the beach to the impeccable service you receive from every employee you come in contact with – you won’t be disappointed!
